Mary Ann Barnette Luck, 75, passed away Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at Carolina House, in Pinehurst.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 20, at Eagle Springs Baptist Church, with Dr. Zeb Moss officiating. Burial will follow in West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Luck was born June 17, 1937, in Moore County, the daughter of Brownlee and Pauline Carter Barnette. She had worked in the Moore County School System for many years and had retired from Stanly Furniture.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Luck.
She is survived by a son, Ronald Luck and wife, Becky, of Norwood; a daughter, Susan Hopkins and husband, Warren, of Southern Pines; three grandchildren, Stephanie Hopkins-Dill and husband, William, of New Bern, Christina Luck, of Charlotte, and Stephen Luck, of Norwood; two great-grandchildren, Paxton and Bayler Dill; a sister-in-law, Paulette Chisesi and husband, Joe, of Eastwood; and two brothers-in-law, Randy Luck and wife, Libby, of Roseland, and Dwayne Luck, of Eagle Springs.
