Cornelia “Faye” Scott, 68, of Jackson Springs, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Pinelake Health and Rehabilitation, in Carthage.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Pleasant Hill UMC Cemetery, in Jackson Springs, with Pastor Steve Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Boles Funeral Home, in Pinehurst.
Ms. Scott was born Nov. 11, 1943, to the late Carlton Griffin Howell and Emma Catherine Baldwin Howell Bryant. She attended Yates-Thagard Baptist Church. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and painting.
She is survived by two daughters, Holly Day and husband, Dewayne, of Laurel Hill, and Shannon Jones and husband, Kevin, of Carthage; a son, Michael D. Connor and wife, Lois, of Jackson Springs; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Victorya Parsons; a brother, Legrande Howell; and two sisters, Betty Jones and Linda Howell.
