Lizzie Doreen Hayden Wilce, 94, of Pinehurst, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Ocean Trail Convalescent Center, in Southport.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Christ Church Anglican, in Southern Pines.
She was born Jan. 9, 1918, in Gloucestershire, England, the daughter of the late Patrick and Charlotte Hayden. She was also predeceased by her husband, Maurice Wilce; and son, Neil Wilce.
Mrs. Wilce was a past volunteer of the Bargain Box and the Woman’s Exchange. She was loved and admired by her many friends and all that knew her.
Surviving is her daughter, Valerie Dodson, of England; and her faithful canine companion Cookie.
