Esther K. Danley, 86, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Summer Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Eugene Ussery officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
A native of Moore County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Rosa Russell Kennedy. She worked as a nurse’s aide at St. Joseph for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arl Danley; a sister, Nellie Barber; and two brothers, Rufus Kennedy and Marvin Kennedy.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra Bare and husband, Tim, of Snow Camp; three sons, David Danley and wife, Gail, of Carthage, Darrell Danley and wife, Donna, of Carthage, and Dan Danley and wife, Jessie, of Browns Summitt; two sisters, Betty Peterson and Doris Carroll; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
