Marianne Grasberger, 58, of Freehold Township, N.J., died Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township.
Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at noon Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold, followed by interment at the parish cemetery.
Marianne was born in Long Branch, N.J., and spent most of her life in Freehold, apart from the years when the A. & M. Karagheusian Rug mill moved to North Carolina and her family moved along with it. She was a graduate of Pinecrest High School, in Southern Pines.
Marianne was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. She was a participant in ARC of Monmouth and the Guys and Dolls Bowling League, and a member of the Emperors’ Club at Caesars Palace. She liked to sing, watch old musicals and spend each March in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.
She was predeceased by her parents, Paul Grasberger Sr. and Mary Tabacsko Grasberger; and her brother, Paul Grasberger Jr.
Surviving are two sisters, Sharon Grasberger and Janet Koloski and her husband, Andrew; her sister-in-law, Myrtle Grasberger; two nieces and a nephew, Amy, Kim and Matthew; and her friends from ARC’s Drop Off Center at Freehold Raceway Mall.
