Leroy Jackson, 74, of Eagle Springs, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at Crossroads Baptist Church, in Robbins, with the Rev. Mike Holyfield and the Rev. Bruce Harry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Kennedy Funeral Home, and at other times at the home.
Mr. Jackson was a native of Hoke County, a son of the late James and Grace Garner Jackson. He worked at Milliken Industries and Carthage Fabrics until he retired due to his health.
Leroy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Jackson, of the home; son, Mickey Jackson and wife, Vickie, of Robbins; daughter, Deborah Lee, of Eagle Springs; grandchildren, Justin Dills and wife, Stacey, Cory Lee, Laura Lee, Brandon Jackson and wife, Alissa, Joseph Jackson, Hollie Jackson and Heather Jackson; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Alexander Jackson, and Madison and Jackson Dills; sisters, Peggy Rayle, Jean Teague, Mary Havner, Diane Caddell and Shirley Berry; andbrother, William Jackson.
