Wesley Allen Bryant, 22, of Carthage, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, at Fry and Prickett Funeral Home, conducted by Mike Bass. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 3 p.m.
Wesley was born in Cumberland County to Dale and Barbara Carver Bryant. He graduated from Union Pines High School in 2008. He also graduated cum laude from the Hayes School of Music at Appalachian State University this summer. For the past six years he worked part time at Food Lion in Carthage as a cashier.
He was a talented musician and had a good mind for business. While in high school he started the band Seventh Denial and later started his current band, As Oceans. Currently he was working an internship at Dirt Lab Studio in Sanford.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Sean Michael Bryant, of Carthage; and his grandmother, Loretta Sue Carver, of Hope Mills.
