Dana T. Melton, 66, of Pinebluff, passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at her residence. She was born on September 13, 1945, in Pinehurst to the late Sam and Edna Tyson.
She is survived by her husband, David R. Melton; one son, Benjamin T. Kearns and his wife, Jessica Zook, of Aberdeen; one grandson, Eliot R. Kearns; one brother, Dennis Tyson and his wife, Jean, of Travelers Rest, S.C.; two step-brothers, Tommy Cassidy and Billy Bullard; two step-sisters, Barbara Edwards and Linda Lowery. Also survived by many other family and friends.
A visitation will be held at Boles Funeral Home, 425 W. Pennsylvania Ave., on Monday, Aug. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Aug. 7, at 2 p.m., at Samaritan Colony, 136 Samaritan Drive, in Rockingham. A visitation will be held prior to services from 1 to 2 p.m. in Samaritan Colony Chapel. Interment is private.
