Goldie H. Wallace, 66, of Troy, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at her home.
The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, Troy, and other times at the residence. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Southside Cemetery, Troy, with the Rev. Kelly Sorg officiating.
Goldie was born Sept. 27, 1946, in Montgomery County, the daughter of Jesse and Barbara Shelton Hancock. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Goldie was a graduate of East Montgomery High School, former owner/operator of Tri Star Temporary Service, and a former employee of GVK America. She was a retired director of First Bank.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wallace.
Goldie is survived by two sons, Kyle Shea, of Chapel Hill, and Derek Shea, of Carrboro; two sisters, Ann Brown, of Candor, and Faye Russell, of Troy; and two brothers, Roger Hancock, of Candor, and Bob Hancock, of Seven Lakes.
